How to reach: To reach the tidal bench marks by boat from Wrangell, AK head W 85 km (53 mi) to Point Baker, turn left and proceed S through Sumner Strait for 19 km (12 mi) to the Shakan Bay, proceed SE 9 km (6 mi) to Shakan Strait, continue through Shakan Strait for 9 km (6 mi) to the W entrance to Dry Pass, and proceed E through Dry Pass for 4 km (2 mi) to Day Marker Green 7. The benchmarks are located along the shoreline S and W of the day marker. The tide gauges were bolted to rock at the point 200 m (656 ft) WSW of the day marker.
