How to reach: To reach the tidal bench marks from Inverness Post Office, proceed 23.5 km (14.6 mi) NW along Sir Francis Drake Blvd. (taking the right fork to Point Reyes Beach south), continue south following Sir Francis Drake Blvd. to Chimney Rock Road (an unmarked road immediately after passing Historic A (Nunez) Ranch), turn left and proceed east 1.45 km (0.9 mi) veering Right at the parking lot Y intersection, to the Historic Lifeboat Station. The bench marks are located in the vicinity of the road leading to the lifeboat station. The tide gauge is located on the east wall of the boat bay in the lifeboat house and the sensors are located on the east finger pier.
