How to reach: To reach the tidal bench marks from the intersection of State Highway A1A and U.S. Highway 1 in Dania, proceed east on State Highway A1A for 3.2 km (2.0 mi) to a paved road leading to John V. Lloyd State Recreation Area, then north on the paved road for 0.24 km (0.15 mi) to the bridge over Whiskey Creek. The bench marks are in the vicinity of the bridge. The tide gage and staff were under the bridge, on the south seawall east of the bridge.
