How to reach: To reach the tidal bench marks from Garnet Point on Hersey Neck, proceed by boat west up the Pennamaquan River for 1.21 km (0.75 mi) to the remains of the R.H. Foster fuel pier. The bench marks are along the beach between the approximate high water line and the tree line in the area of the pier ruins. The gage and tide staff were on a piling cluster about 46 m (150 ft) offshore.
