Surface Water Temperature Forecast Guidance
This near surface water temperature animation was created from the latest NGOFS forecast guidance in the
northern Gulf of Mexico. The forecast is for the next 48 hours of water temperature as simulated by NGOFS
forced by forecast products from the National Weather Service's nested high-resolution (4km) North
American Model (NAM4) and the Navy's Coastal Ocean Model (NCOM).
