Surface Currents Forecast Guidance
This near surface currents velocity animation was created from the latest NGOFS forecast guidance in
the northern Gulf of Mexico. The forecast is for the next 48 hours of current velocities as simulated
by NGOFS forced by forecast products from the National Weather Service's nested
high-resolution (4km) North American Model (NAM4) and the Navy's Coastal Ocean Model (NCOM).
