Observations for Chesapeake Bay North PORTS 2013-06-18 18:25:18 EDT

Water levels are falling at Baltimore, Tolchester Beach, and Washington - DC. Levels are rising at Chesapeake City, Lewisetta, and Solomons Island. Levels are above predictions by up to 1 foot at Annapolis, Baltimore, Chesapeake City, Lewisetta, Solomons Island, Tolchester Beach, and Windmill Point.

Currents are ebbing at Chesapeake Channel LBB 92, Cove Point LNG Pier, and Tolchester Front Range. Currents are slack at Chesapeake City and Potomac River MidChannel LWB B. Currents are flooding at Rappahannock Shoal Channel LBB 60.

Reported winds are generally from the east, between 1 and 20 knots with gusts to 27 knots.

Reported air temperatures range from the mid 60s to the low 70s °F, and reported water temperatures are in the mid to high 70s °F.

Barometric pressure is rising at Cove Point LNG Pier, and falling at the other nine reporting stations. Readings are between 1008.1 and 1010.1 mb.

Air gap is 188.4 feet and steady at Bay Bridge Air Gap, and 140.1 feet and decreasing at Chesapeake City Air Gap.
